All You Need Is Love?

,

Well, again, I had plans to discuss yuppie professors and how they have lowered the intelligence of our students nowadays and perverted their ideals but another yuppie T.V. commercial came to my attention. What happened to the days of T.V. jingles and advertising firms creating catchy songs and themes to promote their products and services. For example "Let Hertz put you in the driver seat", "Don't squeeze the Charmin" or "Things go better with Coca- Cola, things go better with Coke". Some advertising firms have continued on this path but most of them have turned to the quick fix. Why pay these yuppie advertising firms millions of dollars who just take catchy popular tunes and attach them to their products and services. I can do that and probably better.. The new commercial I am speaking of is the new Chase credit card one using the old Beatle song "All You Need is Love". Now what the hey does this song have to do with credit cards. I don't know who owns this song now but it is a Pop song lengend. I notice another band does the song, thank God, but it is the original song. Can advertising firms be that brain dead. I can do the same commercial for about half the price (grins). Just take a vid of people loving their Chase credit cards and dub in the song. Whats the big deal. There has got to be a conspiracy between yuppies to end all original thought. This mentality helps create spam and ads that tell you won whatever you think you won (xbox, trip to Bahamas, free gas, etc). Then you find out the hard way you need to pay them twice the amount of money the prize is worth to get the prize. STOP LETTING THIS CRAP GO ON!!! Lets bring back originality. An American Renaissance is needed to overcome this yuppie Dark Age.

The yuppie dark age is more real---and closer---than most of us want to admit. Yuppies are in fact what populate Huxley's brave new world, bought off by pop entertainment, drugs of every ilk, and sex. And while those things may be ok in their own right and in the right hands, they amount to the bread and circus of the Roman Empire when used by totalitarian rulers to dope and dupe. Sorry if I am getting too heavy here, but the witlessness of the yuppie in the face of today's politics is infuriating.
